Is dry needling safe?

How many dry needling sessions will I need?
It depends! Some people feel a difference after just one session, while others benefit most from a few visits. Your provider will monitor your progress and adjust your treatment plan based on what your body needs.
Does it hurt?
Dry needling shouldn’t be painful. The needles are extremely thin and flexible—they can bend easily—so you might feel a quick twitch or brief pressure, but it’s usually very tolerable. Many people find it relieving or even relaxing.
Will I feel sore after dry needling?
It’s possible to feel a little sore in the treated area—like you’ve had a workout—for a day or two. This is completely normal and part of your body’s healing response. Staying hydrated, gentle movement, and heat can help ease this.
