Jennifer is a Licensed Physical Therapist and Owner of COREssentials Physical Therapy and Pelvic Wellness, PLLC. In opening COREssentials Physical Therapy and Pelvic Wellness in 2016, Jennifer set out to have a place where she could spend the time with her clients that they truly need, a place where she can listen and examine the whole person, and a place where the treatment plan helps clients truly meet their goals in a relaxed time frame in as few or as many sessions as necessary. As an experienced clinical problem solver and corrective movement specialist, Jennifer will work tirelessly to help clients get to the root of their dysfunction for lasting resolution.

Jennifer is a native Texan, born in San Antonio. She mostly grew up in North Texas, where she married her high school sweetheart. She and her family moved back to San Antonio in June 2014. When she is not at COREssentials, Jennifer stays busy as a Mom of three children. Two of those children are now adults and in college, and the youngest is a teen. The family shares their home with three dogs, two cats and a Russian Tortoise.

Jennifer graduated from The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio in May 1994.  She received her Physical Therapy license from the state of Texas in Sept. 1994 and practiced in a variety of settings over those, 25+ years. Jennifer has extensive experience in young adult, adult and geriatric rehab and physical therapy for orthopedic, neurological, general medical, trauma, complex medical, and post-surgical conditions. In 2002, she began studying and receiving training in the management of female urinary incontinence. Over the next several years, she broadened her clinical training and practice to include the management of fecal incontinence, bowel dysfunction, pregnancy and postpartum rehab and pelvic pain conditions for both female and male patients in addition to continuing her practice in "traditional" physical therapy. As a pelvic health specialist for now almost 20 years, she has treated numerous male and female clients with complex pelvic health conditions. Jennifer added Redcord equipment to the practice in 2019 and began working on her Neurac Certification.

Jennifer is committed to helping clients feel their best, and although she will try, she understands she cannot make every "body" 100% better. Physical Therapy is most successful with a patient/client/therapist team approach. Jennifer believes in empowering the client with knowledge to manage their condition and prevent recurrence. Some of her most complex patients improved in 1-2 visits merely because they were armed with knowledge about their condition that they did not have before. Jennifer's core values as a therapist are also at the heart of COREssentials. She hopes COREssentials will feel like a safe, positive, stress-free, healing space where her clients will walk in, relax, and take a deep breath.
